Kilkenny-based purveyors of power-pop SAVING J continue to tour the country winning the musical hearts of many and bouncing all over the radio waves. The band recently released their 3rd single “KICK OFF” with a b-side “Friend or Foe” with a live in-store performance in Dublin’s Tower Records.
The video for Kick Off is getting regular rotation in the UK and Ireland on Bubble Hits and Channel 6. Hot press have stated that “this single will take Saving J very far indeed”.
Recent gigs included played to an audience of 15,000 people at the JFK Dunbrody Festival in July 08 where they opened for chart toppers Mundy and Sharron Shannon.

Saving J’s second single “Valentine” set tongues wagging with the single spending several weeks at the number 2 slot on the well renowned independent download music.ie charts and has received much airplay throughout the country since its release. The single has been reviewed by the Irish Times and Hot Press and Saving J have been touted as “One to Watch” by Hotpress magazine.
“Valentine” is the follow up single to the radio favourite “Bus Stop” which hit the airwaves with a bang in 2007. The success of “Bus Stop” bagged the band a live slot on Ryan Tubridys radio show and overall the band enjoyed a huge level of National and Regional airplay. The track was officially play listed on RTE radio 1, in the Southeast and was well received right across the country. Last year Saving J were selected by Hot Press to perform at Castle Palooza on 4th August 2007 following a nationwide search of unsigned bands. Channel 6 and Cablelink have been airing the video for “Bus Stop” on a regular basis.
Saving J have been touring all over the country for the past few years and have captured audiences at key music venues such as Whelans, Crawdaddy, Radio City , The Button Factory, The Village, The Music Factory, The Bailey, The Watergate Theatre, and in recent months toured the college circuit with headlines in University of Limerick, U.C.C.,W.I.T.. The band have appeared on the infamous Balcony TV.com and have recorded for “Live in your living Room” in association with Hot Press, IMRO and Garagelands.
2008 continues to be an exciting year for Saving J with a 4th single scheduled for release in October. Saving J fans will be pleased to know that an album will be in the offing in early 2009.
